As part of our continual commitment to promoting the ICT sector, Diversus are proudly Gold Sponsors of the 2019 ACS WA Conference — Creating the Roadmap for a Disruptive WA. The 2019 event features two thought leadership keynotes and two panel sessions — plus plenty of networking opportunities. The WA State Conference will be held at Pan Pacific on Friday, 28th June from 11am.
The opening keynote Beyond Digital: Practical Innovation is presented by Miriam Stanborough, Group Manager - Productivity & Innovation at Monadelphousis. She will explore how ‘digital transformation’ is often confused with ‘innovation’ and the importance of establishing an innovation framework.
Diversus Director, Claude De Lucia will take part in the panel discussing how disruptive technology has and will impact on business and work — and the new jobs roles that will emerge. Fellow panel members include Founder & CEO at Norwood Systems, Paul Ostergaard, and Julie Hobbs, Chief Executive Officer at FutureNow Creative and Leisure Industries Training Council.
The other panel discussion will discuss building ICT capability and skills to succeed in a connected world. This session will predominantly focus on how organisations are overcoming the ‘people’ challenge to ensure staff are equipped to deal with the complexities and continuous disruption in the Australian and global economy.
The Locknote by Ian Oppermann, NSW Chief Data Scientist and CEO of NSW Data Analytics Centre will provide insight into why it is essential to effectively harness data and analytics to maintain our place in the world. Embracing data-driven technologies for smart cities, smart factories, smart homes and smart government all require us to understand, frame, and then address the challenges of data sharing, which preserves privacy.
